Telephone companies on the other hands haven't installed Fiber optic lines everywhere so their higher speed internet services aren't available in rural or less populated area and not necessarily poor. All cable companies in America are currently using Fiber optic cables. Sorry to be off topic, but fiber optic cables in America were installed almost 20 years ago by all cable companies and that's practically all of America where people can subscribe to cable TV including poor and rich neighborhoods.
